Johannesburg, South Africa (July 09, 2024): The butterflies have landed! Thirty remarkable women are officially on their journey to becoming Mrs. South Africa 2024. These finalists were unveiled during a dazzling semi-finalist showcase and sashing ceremony held on July 5th at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace.

The theme for the evening, encapsulated in the hashtags #YourWingsAreReady and #YourTimeIsNow, perfectly captured the spirit of Mrs. South Africa. This prestigious platform, designed for married women between 25 and 55, celebrates female empowerment and development. This year’s record-breaking number of entries is a testament to the program’s growing influence.

Joani Jacobs, CEO of Mrs. South Africa, expressed her pride in the semi-finalists: “Their hard work truly shone through on stage. Each woman has a unique story and has demonstrated incredible personal growth. While only 30 can progress to the finals in November, the friendships formed here will last a lifetime. The evening commenced at 8 pm with a captivating showcase introducing the official selection committee, board members, and the hopefuls, each exuding poise, beauty, and accomplishment. Award-winning radio presenter and entertainer Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp served as the captivating host for the night. Reigning Mrs. South Africa, Tshego Gaelae, offered words of encouragement to the contestants, and the Mzansi Youth Choir filled the air with their enchanting melodies. Anticipation heightened as the ladies, adorned in stunning eveningwear, graced the stage once more, culminating in the much-awaited announcement and sashing of the Top 30 finalists.

The journey continues! The Top 30 participated in an acclaimed workshop and photoshoot over the weekend, receiving valuable guidance from guest speakers, the Mrs. South Africa management team, and official sponsors. Even the finalists’ husbands were included in some activities, fostering a true sense of community.

Next on the calendar is a lifestyle challenge designed to test the finalists’ resilience. This will be followed by a thrilling pageant week, featuring preliminary competitions and culminating in the grand finale on November 15th, 2024.
